Program
9:30am: Riders meet at Borgo Cignano, horse assignment and departure.
Leaving the equestrian center, the route leads us along the hill of Cignano with views of the Valle di Passeggeri, the Borgo di Quercegrossa and Siena.
Before crossing the olive grove of the Fattoria le Lodoline, we will pass by Villa Astreo, “La Casa di Rompicollo”, the only woman who ran the Siena Palio in 1957.
The route will take us to the entrance of the Dievole estate, whose first official documentation, seem to date back to the eleventh century, precisely to 1090. The avenue of cypresses will guide us to the Borgo Carpineto and then we will reach the Mulino del Lupo through a forest of oaks and holm oaks.
Waded the Arbia river, we will continue towards the Camponi to reach the panoramic point of Petrignano, surrounded by the Chianti hills, from where you can see southwards the Orcia Valley and the Monte Amiata.
Continuing along the “vineyard-gardens”, which bear witness to the passion for this territory, we arrive at the Medieval Village of Dievole, where we will meet the sommeliers for the visit of the wine cellars and the tasting of IGT and DOCG wines matching a culinary selection of seasonal and typical products of the region.
Along a white road dotted with cypress trees, we will leave for the equestrian center taking with us emotions of an authentic experience in the Chianti Classico, historical and lively soul of Tuscany.
